Flashback Friday

Pratt 9.11.11

When I look thru the lens of a camera I see things more clearly. For instance, why it is that I love a certain person. In this  case I think the camera captured perfectly
a few of the reasons I admire & love these two people.
Surely, you can see it too.

If you are thinking about a photo session, now is a great time to book. The weather is perfect, the light is divine and there's still plenty of time before the Holidays.

And don't miss my once yearly Back2School Sessions.
They're filling up fast.

Back2 School Sessions

It's the first day of school. I didn't want to let them go. I am not one of those mothers who cheers when the last child clears the door. I actually laid awake last night attempting to quiet my fears and overcome the sense of loss I feel. It seems to be getting worse each year. Perhaps because I have been through this entire routine before. This is my  2nd  go round of grade school. Last time I had a 5th grader? Fourteen years ago. When I think back most of it is a collection of snapshots in my head or when lucky, on camera. Number 1 on my list of reasons why I love my job is undisputedly, capturing moments.
This was a great summer. I stopped taking pictures for a living and just took pictures about living.  A family trip to Disneyland, Kenzie's graduation from college, Ike & Anna's engagement, dance festivals, music programs, trips to the pool and the mountains, 4th of July, sisters sleep-overs and even McKenzie spooning down jello in the hospital. When I discovered some overexposed photos of our sons wedding day on the same day my hubby lost his job, I was more upset about the photos than the job. Jobs are replaceable, moments really never are.

I invite you to let me have a few minutes to bring out the best (or the worst) in your kids.  It's that time again. My Once a year
