Meet Carson the High School Graduate

Soon to be Elder Clemmens.

He is a gem of a young man. 

I am privileged to know him and his family. 

He is going to be a great missionary. He sure makes a nice looking Senior.

 

I was thrilled when the lights came on as we were finishing our session. I caught this golden moment.

I Cheated.

I suspect there is some unwritten rule that when posting a photo session, the photographer is expected to post highlights from the entire session. Well I'm gonna cheat on that rule. It's a silly rule, if it exists at all, because sometimes, okay often, I just want to focus on one of the subjects. Case in point. This is Chloe. She is in a red and pink dress on a red and pink evening. She has golden highlights in her hair and as you can see, she is standing  in a golden field. 

She was hard to resist. 

I am sure you will agree with me when you take a look at these photos.  Oh, and don't worry, whether you are her mother or not, the rest of the family had their moment in the sun and I will share it here.

Someone told me it takes about 7 years to really get off the ground with this business. Stevenson Children & My Contest Extended

Last week I had surgery on both eyes. Lots of  intricate work by the talented Dr Todd Cook and some ugliness on my part.Eyes just aren't pretty after surgery. This has increased my appreciation for my vison 10-fold. I wish my vision would increase that much! I have often thought that it would be the most difficult of the senses for me to loose. I am a very visual person and like my mother I am inspired and moved by beauty. So glad to have had those little "growths" removed.  Since I wear contacts but can't, and the vision in my left eye is till blurred,  I am still not to be trusted behind the wheel or the lens. That won't last forever though, so I hope you will take a minute and enter my contest to win a photo package. I have decided to extend the contest until the 20th of February. This will give  you more opportunities to share what you see and increase your chances of winning something great. It gets better the more people who enter.

Oliver Family & The Giveaway Continues...

 This was a truly amazing photo session. Shot entirely in the client's home within 2 weeks of their son's birth. I was there for a full 2 hours which allowed for every stage from sleep to hunger and all that lay in-between. Clearly this family was and is in love with their newest addition. I captured some very intimate moments and was honored to be a part of each one. It was such a treat to celebrate his birth with his entire family. 
It has been nearly a year since these were taken, soon he will be one and I am certain his parents will cherish these forever.

I am to blame.   My blog may or may have not been sort of abandoned for a higher purpose, or two. The higher purpose(s) of which I speak without question pertain to my  more essential jobs, namely, mother and photographer.
